BUT let me tell you... this product is honestly the BEST product! If you have done any research on breastfeeding it is not uncommon to have cracked, bleeding or chapped nipples while breastfeeding especially during the first few days/weeks. I had NONE of these things while using this product. Let's talk about how you use them, First I should say you don't use these while you're breastfeeding you use them AFTER. So, between breastfeeding sessions you put them on your nipple, it's that simple! When I used them, the leakage was REAL, so I had to put some nipple pads behind them between them and my bra.
Now let's talk about why you should use silver nipple shields! Silver is antimicrobial, antibacterial antifungal and anti-inflammatory because of this they are going to help aid in the healing process and help soothe any soreness! Breastmilk will also collect in them while they are sitting on your nipple, and it is soothing! The breastmilk also has healing properties and will help heal! During my breastfeeding journey I never had bleeding, cracked or chapped nipples and I believe this product is why. Also, an added perk, have you ever had REALLY sore breasts, and something grazes your nipple OVER your shirt and bra and it HURTS. One of my favorite things is that these do is protect my nipples! They were sensitive and even thinking about something hitting them hurt and would almost bring me to tears, silver nipple shields protected my nipple like armor!
