What are your favorite ways to support your birth clients?
What is something you have struggled with as a doula?
How do you envision the perfect birth for your client?
What is your experience with high-risk pregnancies or complications during labor?
How will you support my partner during labor?
Do you provide postpartum support?
What are you communication preferences after we sign the contract?
Are there any communication limits leading up to labor?
Do you have backup support or a plan if you are unable to attend my birth?
Are you able to help with my breastfeeding journey?
Have you ever worked with LGBTQIA+ families?
What are your fees and what do they include?

How do you handle differences of opinion or beliefs with your birthing person or their family?
How do you support a family who is going against the medical advice they are receiving?

24. How do you feel about me and our connection?
Remember during your interviewing process, the more that you talk and ask questions the more you will get to know her/him. The most important thing when you are interviewing a Doula is to feel a connection! You aren't hiring 'a doula' your hiring Dorothea Rose and the way that I (or your doula) make you feel. Remember however you feel around your doula is the energy they are going to bring into your birth space so you that energy and connection is the most important.
